The city of Lakeway, Texas chose its name well to highlight the main attraction to living in this quiet city full of natural beauty, as it’s positioned on the shores of the most popular lake in the Texas Hill Country, Lake Travis.   This affluent small town has been well-settled for a long time, and has managed to maintain its population of under 9,000 people throughout the population boom in the rest of central Texas. Many residents in Lakeway commute to Austin and Round Rock, many taking advantage of the rapidly growing tech industry in the area.  The proximity to Austin gives Lakeway residents an opportunity to enjoy the various entertainment possibilities in Austin, as well.  The drive between the two cities isn’t all that long and it is one of the more beautiful hilly drives in the area.
